There is no better feeling in music than performing on stage or writing a great song. Imagine if you could do both…
I can teach you how to recognize your unique voice, your own style that tells us who you are. I focus our lessons around songwriting, while keeping in mind the importance of performance. I help you hone your skills to express your character in the stories you want to tell through music. I believe if you are writing on a consistent basis, you will be practicing your instruments in a more diverse way. This will give you a product that captures a place in time that will resonate for you, and to others. I am a published songwriter and you can find my music on iTunes, Spotify and Pandora with the bands Tennessee Hollow, and my solo project, Dave Dribbon. Sidecar Honey is my current band. Indie Americana Rock from Asheville, NC
Asheville Music Flyer:
“a blend of swampy rock and stripped down acoustic blues and folk which American Songwriter magazine compared to Led Zeppelin's broken down blues tunes.”
“Dave Dribbon's soul-drenched voice commands the stage as Tennessee Hollow rolls through one of its new songs, ‘Remember Your Smiles’. As the two-step rhythm kicks in, he breaks into a raspy-sweet falsetto, then grabs a harmonica.”
Mountain Xpress April 2015:
“Sidecar Honey features the songwriting of Dave Dribbon and is as rootsy as it is polished and savvy”
As a graduate of The Berklee College of Music in Professional Music, my principal instrument was voice with a focus in songwriting, guitar and performance. I have been teaching songwriting, vocals, guitar, piano, electric bass, mandolin, banjo and harmonica since 2003. I took the leap and moved from Boston to Asheville in 2006 and have been teaching, writing and performing in the Asheville and surrounding areas ever since.
