Pamela Jones

She studied music at The Boston Conservatory before moving to New York City to attend Circle In The Square Theater School. After college, Pamela began playing guitar, writing, and performing original music in the New York, Connecticut and Boston area. During her time in NYC, Pamela acted in various television shows and live comedy shows. She co-wrote songs for television and made guest appearances in Variety shows throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. She sung spots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Smart Girls At the Party (a web series starring Amy Pohler) and also performed classical pieces with choirs at Carnegie Hall. Her first solo record Brightest Minds was recorded in Brooklyn, NY and released in 2011. The album is a refreshing blend of folk and indie pop. The album is currently featured on iTunes and can be streamed at Pamelajones.bandcamp.com. Since moving to Asheville, NC, Pamela has continued performing original songs, as well as performing with various jazz bands throughout the area. Her new band LARKE, is a collaboration with the jazz musicians she's been performing with. Taking some of her previously written folk songs and jazz standards and rearranging them have a more modern, refreshing and unique sound.
