Sarah Hammel is a classically trained vocalist, educator, and life-long learner. She has nearly 16 years of experience in performing and nearly 6 years in teaching voice and piano.
Sarah grew up in small-town Iowa where she learned to play piano from a young age and has been singing ever since she can remember. She attended St. Olaf College in Minnesota where she earned a degree in Vocal Performance. Her training has taken her to venues such as Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, Carnegie Hall, Severance Hall, and many exciting places abroad.
As a voice and piano teacher, she likes to meet students where they are and help set and work towards reasonable goals. She incorporates a wide variety of music, games and activities into her lessons and aims to provide a kind, patient and empathetic learning environment for her students.
