Our year-round band classes allow students of all ages to learn and perform music from various genres, including rock, blues, pop, americana, punk, and more. Group Rock Band Classes
Our rock band classes cater to children and teens, helping students build essential musical skills while working together to perfect songs and performances. Students practice as a band, learning everything from instrument technique to group coordination and performance strategies.
Each class culminates in live performances at local venues, giving students the opportunity to experience the thrill of playing in front of an audience. Whether you’re playing classic rock, modern hits, or alternative styles, the focus is always on fun, creativity, and musical growth.
Jazz, Funk, and Soul Band Class
This class meets Tuesday nights and is designed for musicians ages 15 - 21 with some experience on their instrument. Students dive deep into jazz, funk, and soul while exploring improvisation and arranging songs in new and creative ways. Repertoire spans from classic selections dating back to the 1930s to fresh, modern material from the past few years. This class is ideal for musicians who want to expand their technical abilities, strengthen their understanding of music theory, and grow as expressive, versatile players. This band has performed on stages such as Kenmure Country Club and Sierra Nevada.
Adult Rock Academy
The Adult Rock Academy is tailored for those aged 18 and up who want to experience the joy of playing in a band and performing on stage. This program is designed for adults at any skill level who wish to revisit their passion for music, learn new techniques, and gain real-stage performance experience.
Opening Act
Designed for rising 4th–6th graders new to instruments or bands, this year-round program teaches students how to set up equipment, practice effectively, and prepare for live performances. With guidance from expert instructor Tim Doyle, young musicians build confidence, teamwork, and essential skills while having fun learning to play in a band.
Metal Monday Band
Our Monday night band is for musicians ages 15-21 who love the heavier side of rock. This class dives into a wide range of metal styles, tackling songs from legendary bands while building tight rhythm, precision, and powerful stage presence. The material can be demanding, so prior playing experience is strongly recommended. If you’re ready to push your skills. Play loud, and lock in with a high-energy group, Metal Monday is for you!
Homeschool Rock Band
Our newest offering is a course designed specifically for homeschool students who want to explore music as part of their academic studies. In this collaborative band-based class, students will build essential music skills while learning songs together and preparing for performances. As with all Rock Academy programs, students rehearse as a full band- developing instrument technique, teamwork, musical communication, and performance strategies in a fun, structured environment that supports both musical growth and educational goals.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great addition to Rock Academy classes and are offered in guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, and vocals. These one-on-one sessions are designed to focus on the individual needs of each student, helping them improve their technique, learn new songs, and master their instrument. The addition of Private lessons is ideal for those who want to add a personalized approach to learning in order to further hone their individual skills, whether a beginner or an advanced player.
